Problem to be solved:
Slow data exchange via ISDN (up to 30min. delays). The solution should include the important advantages of x.400. The communication with over 200 contractors should be guaranteed.

Why i-effect^® was chosen:
i-effect AS2 exchanges data in real time, independent of capacity. Conversion and communication should run directly on the iSeries. The price/performance ratio of i-effect was the most attractive of all competitors.

Advantages gained by this solution:
Faulty coordination between delivery and delayed shipping ticket reception was corrected. Transmission of 1500 EDIFACT orders and approximately 1000 PDF-data to trade partners; one order can have up to 100 items.
