On the 14 November 2007 the Bundesnetzagentur published the manufacturers declaration in their official journal 22/2007 for the signature software i-effect *SIGG from menten GmbH. The IBM system I Native Standard Solution finished, with that, the last leg of its journey towards legal certification for users.
According to paragraph 17 section 4, the Bundesnetzagentur is required to publish declarations, in its journal, from the manufacturer for qualified electronic signatures. Legal recognition is only given to signature programs, which have operating conditions that fit into the specific frame requirements. Only completed products can receive such recognition. With these precautions, the danger, that users create a defective product using partial components, can be avoided.
*SIGG, a module of the EDI and data integration solution i-effect, signs PDF documents, EDIFACT Messages, and any other files directly and server based on the IBM system i.
