Cooperation agreement between Solitas and menten

Buchs / Bergisch Gladbach, 14 March 2008 - The Solitas Informatics AG, Buchs/Switzerland, and the menten GmbH, Bergisch Gladbach/Germany, have signed a cooperation agreement. The collaboration includes the integration and joint marketing of the document-management-system InfoStore of Solitas with the EDI communications platform i-effect ® of menten. The integrated solution, which is already in joint customer projects, allows a qualified audit proof archiving of digital signatures, including the area of the EDI solution i-effect ®.

Both vendors are specialized on native applications for the System i platform and address particulary midrange customers. Their products are functioning complementary: InfoStore is a solution for document management, auditsave electronic archiving and workflow-management with extensive integration capabilities in applications such as ERP, Finance and Office, which is used by more than 900 business establishments. i-effect, by menten, is a key communication platform designed for electronic data interchange (EDI) and other standards. i-effect transmits raw data from System i into a multitude of data types, documents with qualified digital signature, to business partners. The product is in use by about 250 customers in numerous countries.

With InfoStore integrated in i-effect, menten GmbH allows its customers, among other things, the auditsave archiving of input and output receipts. When handing over documents into the archive, an automatic creating of a digital signature and audit report for signed input receipts is possible.
In addition, Solitas offers new options to InfoStore users, with selected function modules by menten.
For example, solutions for PDF-conversion of Spool-data, a reportmanger for building modern featured, well arranged output documents, modules for automated E-Mail- and Fax-dispatch and a Plug-in for the automating of server tasks can be applied.

Both partners are, due to the full integration of their products, capable of putting challenging customer projects, time and moneysaving, into action.

Both, Solitas and menten, have an international distribution network with numerous partners, which are also included in the new cooperation. The agreement between both software vendors is designed, to bring the product of the other contractor active (directly or indirectly) to market and to distribute it. Customer projects can be performed independently or in cooperation with the contractor. Both companies are already working together on the first customer projects.
