– efficient business processes through structured data exchange

EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) Is the exchange of structured business information between business partners, which uses globally accepted, standardized, and modern communications methods.

Control of business processes is mad much easier, because EDI information(business or trade date) is automatically exchanged between applications, without the direct control of employees. This frees up time, which would otherwise be used for data preparation and entry as well as data monitoring. It also guarantees the integrity of data, because it is not entered manually. EDI is used in all sectors.

Evolutionary EDI-Mapping: With i-effect *MAPPER GUI menten GmbH demonstrates how efficient and easy it is to join the EDI world on the IBM i. Data mapping of EDI data using a graphic interface on the IBM Power Systems of all possible combinations of EDIFACT (all subsets), FlatFile (SAP Idoc) or IBM DB2 will be demonstrated.
