menten GmbH Starts its Anniversary Year with a Bang

menten GmbH will celebrate its 20 birthday in 2009. 20 years is a long time in the fast paced and rough business in the AS/400 environment. Many companies come and go long before they can celebrate an anniversary. This gives menten GmbH all the more reason to celebrate.

Over the years the company has grown from a small regional software developer of AS/400 tools, to a multi-sector, international EDI specialist.

Products such as ASCON(x.400 connection) EDICON (EDIFACT-converter) and GZIP400 (data compression) were the beginnings of i-effect, a standard solution created in 2004, which now has more than 15 modules for conversion, communication, archiving, encryption, and for qualified digital signature.

Since 1989, Ralph Menten and his team have worked together with partners and customers. They were some of the first specialists to work with the then new AS/400 server family.

With over 350 customers and 400 installations world wide, menten GmbH posses long term software and hardware know-how in the AS/400 environment. Customers of the system house are from many different sectors, such as trade, industry, finance, utilities, insurance companies, logistic, as well as automotive and automotive suppliers. Many customers have been with the company since the beginning.
