New i-effect® Release V1R6 Delivers a Higher Level of Security

menten GmbH announces the new i-effect® Version V1R6.The new Releases has two new modules: *OCSP, which tests certificates in real time and the *IASP module, which, for the first time, offers a connection to IBM´s high availability solution.

Real-time Certificate Verification

i-effect®´s new module *OCSP provides information regarding a certificate´s status, which makes fast and automated certificate testing possible. i-effect® *OCSP tests a certificate at a Trust Center via a secure Internet connection. If the certificate is valid, *OSCP verifies the incoming data and signature and then creates a verification report, which is attached to the signed document and forwarded to the Workflow. If the certificate has expired or is blocked, an error message will be created and it will be forwarded for manual processing.

By means of the Federal Network Agency´s manufacturer´s declaration the product will be deemed acceptable for applications compliant with SigG, according to the German Signature Law. With the i-effect® modules, *SIGG and *OCSP, i-effect® offers a complete unit for qualified digital signing and fulfills the legal requirements for certificate verification.

High Availability Connection with IBM´s iASP

Its now possible, with i-effect®´s new *IASP Module, to use an i-effect® installation on a system with configured iASP (independent auxiliary storage pool).iASP compatible application objects will be automatically placed in the user defined iSAP an can be used to set up an HA (high availability) infrastructure. Along with XSM (cross-site mirroring), IBM´s data replication solution, functions can be integrated and data can be replicated on multiple systems.

XML Data Export from DB2

Another new feature is the direct conversion of DB2 data into the respected XML format. With XML, EDI systems can be developed to not only to transport data, but also to automate business processes between companies.
