With BladeCenter S, especially for small and medium businesses, it is now possible to run a high performance data center without the complexity of a server farm. The new and virtually silent chassis can fit under any desk. Over sized systems are a thing of the past, because of BladeCenter´s versatility and scalability. Expansions of the BladeCenter are possible at any time, which can be fitted inexpensively and easily to the changing needs and processes of the company.

"We´ve used the new generation of IBM BM i Powerblades for the last few weeks. Its small size has allowed us to use of to 6 Blades with a variety of virtualized IBM i systems in the smallest space", said CEO Ralph Menten.

Along with significant savings, consolidation on i PowerBlades with Power6-technology offers higher flexibility and easier system planning and administration. One i Powerblade has all the functions of the traditional server, switch, management and SAN. ERP-, CRM- and database applications can be run easily on one single PowerBlade.

The special IBM i Express Edition for BladeCenter S offers and attractive option for AS/400, iSeries, and System i 515, 520 and 525 users. The leading IBM POWER6 processors and the ability to run and consolidate the AIX, IBM i and Linux operating systems simultaneously on the same system yield, because of increased productivity and energy efficiency, a quick ROI and lower operating cost because of better performance per watt.
