menten GmbH has been acting as a full-service IT provider for Bergische Brandversicherung for seven years now. Services include support for IBM Power Systems (often called AS/400) and the associated IBM i operating system. Added to this are the customer's Windows servers, consisting of Active Directory and Terminal Server, the telephone system and a backup concept that prevents data loss.

A Firewall secures the company against external threats and provides encrypted access to the corporate network from the Home Office. In addition to setting up and maintaining hardware and software components, menten also provides first-level IT support. Employees of Bergische Brandversicherung can reach the IT service staff they know easily, directly and quickly via e-mail or telephone. The issue is then resolved in an uncomplicated manner via remote maintenance or, if necessary, on site.

Continuous maintenance and further development

In addition to supporting the IT infrastructure, the continuous further development & modernization of IT is also an important task. Here, menten regularly advises on important IT topics and proposes improvements as part of IT consulting.

An upcoming project has already been announced: The local telephone system is to be replaced by a cloud system. The more modern system will bring more flexibility and enhanced functionalities, for example accessibility in the home office, indispensable features in today's world.
